Check, please!

I always find very amusing when people start arguing over who will pay the check at the restaurant.. it's like, they fight for something they (surely) DON'T wanna do.. but they still do it! And what's the purpose of it? Positioning themselves on a superior state by covering everyone's needs? Being the coolest guy/girl around? Demonstrating you have enough money to pay the bills?

This kind of behavior is more noticeable among the male species.. maybe to impress the girls by showing power and leadership.. or maybe because we females can be easily labeled as gold diggers, and gold is what it takes to build the road to our hearts.. [ this is a STEREOTYPE.. not necesarily true, that's why the MAYBE is at the beginning of the sentence :D ]

Anyway, it's funny when people get offended if they don't get to pay.. get over it, you just won a free meal! What's the big deal if you can't pay for once? It's silly to be ashamed about that..

If done with the right intentions, it is the most selfless act.. feeding the poorer, the needed, the peers who have less than us.. aiding the woman who forgot her wallet, getting a 6pack for the dude who bought us a can of beer some days ago, buying a desert for the hyperactive kid, tipping the waiter..

Courtesy and pride will fuck us all!
